$40,000 = MWBC Future
$26,000 Down...$14,000 To Go!
To make MWBC more usable in the near and far future, the board of directors identified the following building projects to get the most bang for our buck. Ultimately, we will be able to house up to 130 campers and 40 staff without any problem. We would like to raise the last $14,000 for these three projects as soon as possible.
We invite everyone to consider contributing to this rebuilding fund. Help us to explore the possibilities!

ADDITIONAL CABINS NEEDED
MWBC has pledged to help fund the building of two new cabins. Each cabin houses ten campers, so MWBC capacity will increase to 120 campers. Each cabin costs about $10,000 to build. The cabins must also be furnished with bunk beds and mattresses. A local church group is building one new cabin--it's up to us to assist with the rest!
New Bath House
Construction on the new bathhouse began in 2007 and will be completed this year. A grant was received for most of the cost. The new bathhouse is located on the north side of the basketball court, and will have an underground storm shelter that can be used for class area and storage. There is also discussion around ways to reuse the old bathhouse as either the new nurse cabin and director's cabin, or as cabin space.
Dining Hall Addition
In 2007, Midwest Bible Camp supporters gave over $20,000 to add about 20 feet onto the front of the dining hall. This has made it possible to seat more than 175 people in the dining hall for a meal. When the area is not needed for dining, it is used as an office and classroom area. Ten new tables and some new benches have also been added.
Enclosing the Shelter House
In the past, the shelter was under utilized, being away from the rest of the camp and being open to the weather, bugs and animals. IN 2007, MWBC enclosed the shelter with screening, new doors, and a storage area and storm curtains. It can now be used for a new craft area, class area, and meeting place, freeing up the trophy room for class area and a game area. This project was about $5000.
