Dates for 2025 Camp Sessions

MWBC offers 8 camping sessions every summer.
Each session is unique and provides programs to meet the needs of all ages and families.

*The Camper Brochure & Application can be found on the HOME or REGISTRATION page.
*The S.A.L.T. application is embedded in the Camper Registration. (if you wish to apply for the SALT program, simply fill out the regular Camper Application below and you will be directed to the SALT Application once you register for attendance.)

*All sessions will be offered at the Lake Darling Youth Center near Brighton, Iowa. Directions to the camp are listed in the

Junior Week

This session focuses on grade school boys and girls having finished grades 3-5. The week has a family feel with many staff members serving together at the session with their families. The program is designed to be activities based and has a unique focus on God’s creation.

SALT Year 1 

Servant Attitude Leadership Training phase 1 is conducted during Junior Week. The focus of this first year of training is on camp counseling. Students will spend 2 hours in class and complete 1 hour of additional assignments outside of class. Students will be asked to spend a lot of time observing campers and staff while learning the basic skills necessary to become a quality counselor. Students are placed in a cabin with campers and an experienced head counselor so that they are able to observe/experience first-hand the demands/blessings of counseling. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, a certificate is given and the student may continue training the following summer in SALT II.

Intermediate Week

This week is for middle schoolers having finished grades 6-8. This week focuses on transitioning campers to a deeper level of spiritual maturity. The counselors are made up of mature high schoolers and young adults chosen to provide positive mentorship.

SALT Year 2 

Servant Attitude Leadership Training phase 2 is conducted during Intermediate Week. The focus of this second year of training is 3 fold: 1) Leadership training, 2) Exploration of staff positions outside of counseling, and 3) Continued training in counseling. Students are placed in a cabin with campers and an experienced counselor. During the SALT II training phase, students will take on more of a co-counselor role. The training sessions consist of 2 hours of class-time and various outside assignments. Participation in various staff roles, including helping the cooks for a day, giving a devotional talk, etc. will be part of the hands-on training. Upon satisfactory completion of the course, a certificate is given and the student may be recommended for service as a staff member.

Senior Week

This week’s program aims to reach high schoolers having finished grades 9-12. It focuses on deep spiritual maturity, community, and relationship building.

Special Week Zero

Our "special" weeks are designed to provide a camp experience for all ages during the same week. Boys and girls who have finished grades 3-12 may attend. These sessions are a great option for families who want all of their children to attend camp at the same time, and for campers who enjoy an atmosphere where all ages work and play together.

Girl's Retreat

If you would like to attend a camping session which is specifically designed for young women, then plan on attending Girls Retreat. This session focuses on guiding campers to form a uniquely female community and to discover how they can grow in their walk with God.
