What Our Campers Say
See what our Campers have to say about Midwest Bible Camp and how much it means to them in the video and quotes below.
"Ten years ago during Special Week One and Two God changed my life forever. He showed me the gospel of grace through the counselors and staff members at MWBC.
He showed me that I was a sinner and he wanted to offer me forgiveness through the blood of his son. He showed me how real a Father's love can be. Thank you for being servants of the Gospel and boldly proclaiming the Truth. I will forever thank God for you."

"I keep coming to MWBC because it is like a spiritual uplifting that I get to share with other Christians who are family to me. It is a time that I can praise God with no distractions. And the people there don't judge the way you look, you don't have to impress anyone (unless you really want to) someone even told me it was the best place to find relationships and friendships. Camp has become a second home to me. It is a place that I go to get away from everything back home. And it is such a beautiful place. It is a place that you can really take a look at God's glorious creations. I guess to sum it up, I keep coming back to camp because it's such a wonderful place to get to know God better with people who want to help you do that and there is so much more to camp that you can't really explain, you really just have to experience it for yourself."

"I keep coming to Midwest Bible camp because....It has changed my life! From the minute I stepped ON to the camp ground people were SO friendly and I'm not used to that from Christians. I have been to churches where people/youth stuck up their noses because they didn't see me or others as equal to them. But at camp everyone is equal and accepted. Also because at Senior Week 2003 I had a completely life changing experience! I had So many questions about God and the bible that I just couldn't figure out on my own. And some of the beliefs that I had been taught my whole life I wanted to find out for myself. That was an amazing week of soul searching and answer seeking. Through careful thought and prayer and LOTS of help from Jeremy Widner, Jason Hawkins, Silas Phitsimmons, Hazley Hamm, and many LONG talks and prayers with Mike Shagren I found the answers I was seeking. And I was just filled with an AMAZING Joy in God's word like nothing I have EVER felt in my entire life! Now the bible just makes me SO happy! When I came to camp Special week 1 2003 I was dealing with a lot of issues and questions once again...but in some other areas and the people there just made me feel so comfortable and they talked to me about it! They knew I needed to talk! And although that was a very tough week for me I know I wouldn't have been able to get through it as well as I did had I not been at that camp experiencing what I was at that time! I guess that's a lot to write but I will ALWAYS hold Midwest Bible Camp close to my heart and I will come back for as long as I can!!"

"I keep coming to Midwest Bible Camp because I need to get recharged, to see my friends, to feel needed, hugs in general. The great food, the campfire, the nature, the people who help me, and hopefully I can help them. I keep coming to camp because it is a part of me, that I find it hard to live without. I love camp."

I have learned so much from MWBC. This past summer at senior week really changed me too. After that week I think my spiritual life has taken a big step...and it's all because of the friends I have made, the teachers, and just worshipping God with our hearts, makes me want to have that relationship with God every single day. I think it is also amazing at how we are one big family there. No one cares who you are or where you come from, everyone stands there with open arms and is always there for you. It makes you realize what people can do when we all come together to worship God and help each other. Camp in my FAVORITE place, nothing here on earth can compare to it."

"Special Week I 2005 was my first full week experience of MWBC. Before the summer I had no idea there was a camp our there, but now that I have been there I am already telling people I will help them next summer. Never have I been to a place where spiritual growth was so evident, and it was there that I made the decision to let God into my life through baptism. MWBC is an amazing thing to be involved in--the excitement that surrounds everybody is overpowering. I am already counting down the days until camp will start up."

"The most memorable moment for me at MWBC was the singing on Thursday night. Everyone was so amazing, not one person was not singing with all their heart. It was very touching and I felt a lot of holiness around."
